What I make
I build performances with sand, textiles, rope, and voice. I photograph festivals. I make video from hair as evidence and resistance, drawn from the lived experience of Iranian women.
Psychology, theatre, dance, fashion, visual design, UI/UX, and service design sit under that practice. I collaborate with sound and music artist Jesse Ukkonen as the duo AVA.
